WHAT YOU’LL DO

Using a combination of disciplined processes and compelling storytelling, you’ll engage target prospects and convert them into clients. You’ll be tenacious in your outreach, while implementing our proven strategies of qualifying inbound/ outbound leads using our Ideal Client Profile (ICP) and cultivating those relationships toward a Closed/Won deal.

Our clients are typically commercial real estate developers who want their projects to stand out in a busy marketplace. Our clients understand the value of bespoke art collections to increase their ROI by reflecting local communities and creating memorable experiences. You will have the incredible content of our world-class marketing department to support your outreach efforts, and collaborate with a powerhouse department of Business Development and Client Success team members.

  • Responsible for infiltrating and growing our Southwest territory, specifically within Texas and Arizona
  • Attend industry events to network, showcase our capabilities, and draw in new accounts
  • Stay up to date with industry knowledge and market insights, knowing assigned territory, including key players, trends and priorities
  • Establish robust relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring a personalized approach, asking the right questions to uncover unique requirements and tailor a custom proposal
  • Identify and pursue creative avenues that lead to the attainment of new ideal clients
  • Explore untapped business prospects, employing a keen eye for emerging opportunities
  • Identify clients' pains and priorities to craft a responsive scope of work and budget, and collaborate with the marketing team to craft compelling narratives and comprehensive proposals that apply uniquely to each client
  • Collaborate with internal teams, i.e. sales, marketing and curatorial, to optimize the sales process.
  • Incorporate diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and accessibility (DEIBA) goals into your work and annual performance goals, and demonstrate the values outlined in our paper, The Art of Representation.

This role reports to the Director of Business Development Jackie Fraser, and can work remotely from any of the following metro areas: Houston, Dallas, or Austin, TX. Our beautiful headquarters, an open and art-filled office in Denver, is available for workspace or meetings.

30-40% travel required to participate in client touchpoints and team meetings.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience: 3+ years of business development engagement (SDR, BDR), preferably for a B2B professional services company. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (Sales, Marketing, Communications).
  • Connections: Established network within the local Commercial Real Estate (CRE) industry.
  • Technically Savvy: Experienced using modern sales and marketing technology (we currently use HubSpot, but experience with most CRM tools is transferable).
  • Initiative: Disciplined self-starter who can manage their own workflow and follow-up processes.
  • Resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-driven, and results-oriented culture.
  • Storytelling: Articulates our unique value proposition in a clear, compelling way while tailoring the message to a client’s unique situation.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to write compelling emails and texts, articulate value stories on a phone or video call. Exhibits curiosity and develops trust by asking open-ended questions. Excels at presenting and leading in-person client interviews.
  • Organization and Analysis: Collaborates effectively with the curatorial and marketing team to deliver strong client-facing materials utilizing our current systems and processes, including building accurate budgets and proposals for clients.
  • Stability: Maintains stable performance when under pressure or stress.
  • Passion: Passionate about the power of placemaking and art in the built environment.
  • Consistency: Finds and paves creative paths to the right new clients.

No art knowledge or background is required for this role - we want our teams to have a diversity of industry experience.
